My oldest son has gone away to Edmonton for a few days.He phoned last night to say he had arrived safely.so,its a little quieter here this morning.I've booked my week off work.so now i just have to organize where im going to stay in Alberta.Im really looking forward to it now.I know i want to go to Banff,Drumheller and The Badlands.So,i just have to work out my route really.Im sure its going to be a lot of fun.

My daughter is now home from university.I can't believe a whole year has gone already.It doesn't seem like yesterday she was going there to start her first year.We got everything packed up fairly quickly.Mind you she had made a start on it herself.Then we stopped off at Burger king before heading on home.I hate the drive from there to here.It is such a long boring drive.No scenary or anything to look at.At least we don't have to go again until september.
I phoned my grandmother the other day and my cousin was there.She'd just passed her driving test.This was her first time trying it.she wasn't able to take it before now even though she's in her 30's.She is epileptic and needed to be free from fits for 5 years before she could drive.So she was so happy she could finally drive herself around now.

On friday we went out for drive in the car.We drove to a small town called Biggar.The highlight of the town was a subway restaurant where we stopped to have lunch.I took some photos of it for people to see.I know after looking at them you'll all be eager to go there and see Biggar for yourselves so tommorrow i'll be posting travel directions and tourist information.We're hoping later in the year to get as far as Drumheller and The Badlands.That should provide more interesting photos and reading.

On Saturday we bought a new car.It has remote start and a stereo system.No more having to bash the stereo to get it to work because it keeps cutting out.I'm putting up a photo for you to see it.

A man boarded an aircraft at London's Heathrow Airport, and taking his seat as he settled in, he noticed a very beautiful woman boarding the plane. He realised she was heading straight toward his seat and bingo she took the seat right beside him. Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out, Business trip or vacation?" She turned, smiled enchantingly and said, "Business. I'm going to the Annual Nymphomaniac Convention in the United States." He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting for nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?" "Lecturer," she responded. "I use my experience to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality." Really" he smiled, "what myths are those?" Well," she explained, "one popular myth is that African-American men are the most well endowed when, in fact, it's the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that French men are the best lovers, when actually it is the men of Greek descent. We have also found that the best potential lovers in all categories are the Irish." Suddenly the woman became uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry," she said. I really shouldn't be discussing this with you, I don't even know your name! Tonto," the man said. "Tonto Papadopoulos. But my friends call me Paddy."

Today is my oldest son's birthdayI had to take him shopping yesterday for a birthday present.So,he got a pair of shoes .Im taking him out for a meal tommorrow night to Red Lobster his favourite restaurant.He wants to go out and celebrate with his friends tonight.
While i was out yesterday i thought i'd do some retail therepy for myself.I needed some new shoes for the summer since the weather is rapidly changing here and the snow will have soon melted.I found these totally awesome,totally impractical shoes.Pink,4 inch heels,big pointed toes and little jewels on the side.I soooo wanted them and my boys who were totally not interested in womans shoe shopping were there"oh just buy them".But,i didn't(sob sob).I knew i had to buy something more practical and ended up with a pair of beige sensible flat ones.Which are pretty,but i really wanted the other ones.
On the way home i decided to take the scenic route and drive along the Meewasin trail.It was so lovely to see how most of the ice has now melted off the river and some ducks and geese have already come back.No pelicans yet though.They should arrive later this month.
